Configuring the Tenant Settings
The Tenant Settings page is where you can set up your organisation's branding and access settings in the SmartSpace platform. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you get everything configured just right.
1. Company Name
Start by entering your organisation’s name in the Company Name field. This will appear in various places across the platform, such as headers and email templates.
2. Logos
You can upload four different logos on this page. Each logo has specific guidelines to help it look great in the platform. Here's what you need to know:
a. Mobile Logo
- Recommended Aspect Ratio: 5:1
- Maximum File Size: 500 KB
- Supported Formats: JPEG or PNG
- Where It’s Used: Appears in the header of the mobile app.
- Pro Tip: Use a black or coloured logo on a white background since it’s displayed on a white canvas.
b. Web Logo
- Recommended Aspect Ratio: 5:1
- Maximum File Size: 500 KB
- Supported Formats: JPEG or PNG
- Where It’s Used: Appears in the top-left corner of the menu bar in the web portal.
- Pro Tip: A white logo on a transparent background works best since it’s displayed on a dark blue background.
c. Small Logo
- Recommended Aspect Ratio: 1:1
- Maximum File Size: 500 KB
- Supported Formats: JPEG or PNG
- Where It’s Used: Shown on the left-hand menu bar when it’s collapsed.
- Pro Tip: Go for a white logo on a transparent background to suit the blue background.
d. Email Logo
- Recommended Aspect Ratio: 5:1
- Maximum File Size: 500 KB
- Supported Formats: JPEG or PNG
- Where It’s Used: Appears in the header of all system-generated emails.
- Pro Tip: A white logo on a transparent background is a safe choice, but you can upload anything you like since you can customise the email background colour.
3. Email Header and Footer Colours
You can set a custom colour for the email header (behind the email logo) and footer bar. Pick a colour that matches your logo and aligns with your organisation’s branding.
4. Default Sites
Default sites make managing user access simpler by automatically granting access to certain sites.
a. Setting Default Sites
- Select one or more sites as default to give new users Staff role access to those sites automatically.
- When you select a site as a default, existing users without access to that site will also be granted Staff role access.
b. Keeping Existing Access
- Users who already have access to a site (e.g., Operator or Admin) will keep their current level of access when it’s set as a default.
c. Deselecting Default Sites
- If you deselect a site as a default, no one’s access will be removed. New users just won’t automatically get access to that site anymore.
Tips for Success
- Follow the logo guidelines to ensure everything looks clean and professional.
- Match the email header/footer colours to your branding for a polished look.
- Regularly review your default site settings to make sure they’re aligned with your organisation’s needs.
